WORKSHOP OF SPOKEN WORD POETRY & POETRY SLAM

A workshop on Slam and Spoken Word Poetry as tools for expression and immediate feedback. During the workshop, we will explore different aspects of Slam Poetry with the aim of understanding the basic principles, developing spoken word poetry writing skills, cultivating expressiveness, and creating a collaborative atmosphere.

WORKSHOP PLAN

1. Introduction to Slam Poetry as a type of Spoken Word Poetry
– Historical review and development
– Basic principles and differences from other forms of poetry

2. Creative Writing
– Slam poem writing techniques
– Differentiation between written and oral poetry
– Practical writing exercises
– Adapting a written poem to spoken word poetry

3. Interpretation and Presentation
– Vocal and physical expression exercises
– Stress management and self-confidence techniques during presentations.

4. Open Mic
– Opportunity for participants to present their projects
– Feedback and discussion
