Yzaura is a poet from New York, now based in Barcelona. Since relocating, she has rekindled her passion for poetry, becoming a spoken word artist whose voice captures the essence of the human experience. Her poetry explores themes of identity, heritage, and the wisdom gained through aging. A regular performer at local events, she also runs the open mic Gypsy Lounge in Barcelona, a monthly event that invites both novice and seasoned artists to share their work. Yzaura uses vocal effects and loops to add depth to her performances. IG: @yzauras_searching_sol & @thankyou.fornotlistening

PERFORMANCE POETRY PROJECT
Transformation
Standing at the crossroads of the past and future, Yzaura’s Transformation explores change through spoken word. Her two poems serve as mirrors, reflecting the journey of revisiting our former selves and uncovering buried wisdom. Weaving through tender and tumultuous, she invites us to release outdated stories that keep us bound to who we once were. This performance is more than a recital; it’s a passage — a poetic release into renewal.
